About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out for more info.

How bad is this? Is your hair thinning, but can see your scalp, or do you actually have bald patches? If just thinning (as happens to some women), then sometimes you can either cut your hair really short, or you can grow it out and have it cut in fine layers to hide much of it….this happens to many women in my family too….I have seen both cuts on females and depending on how thin your hair is, one of them will work….don’t be embarrassed, just work with what you have.

I think your doctor meant that alopecia (losing hair) runs in your family. You may want to try something over the counter, such as Rogaine for Women. It’s fairly inexpensive, and you can get it at places like Target or Wal-Mart. I’d advise you to see a dermatologist though, there’s some pretty advanced stuff out there that may be able to help you even better.

There is a company called "Esuchen Hair Care" that specializes in scalp and hair care. They have several products that you can buy that costs about as much as regular salon shampoo/condidtioners do.

There is the GP Lotion that promotes hair growth under the NPPE line and the Anti-Loss Ginseng shampoo which prevents any more hair from falling out.

The website has all the contact information if you have any questions. A customer service representative will be able to help you too with any questions or suggestions.

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.
